I love going to concerts and meeting bands, and I'm the kind of person that could have fun in an empty room :)

We organize workshops for Professionals and families of children with Special Needs. I hope to use the skills and knowledge I am developing there in my future career. Hi, I am Elizabeth. I am a Secondary Ed History major. I returned to school once my children were in school themselves they are now 10 and 8. Besides being a student, a wife and a mother I work part time at Macy's in the Warwick Mall. I am a bit of a geek and enjoy scify and fantasy fiction and television. I like playing computer games and reading and cats. I have found the best motivator for getting good grades is children in school. I can't tell them to do their homework and then not do mine.

Hi, my name is Jean and I'm doing the RITE program for Secondary Biology. I moved to Providence from Los Angeles about a year and a half ago for my husband's job and I have an 18 month-old daughter. I am completely new to the RIC campus, so I don't know where anything is! My hobbies include traveling, reading, yoga, running, and creative writing, and I probably watch too much TV.
Hello! I'm Colleen Conley, my content area is English and I'm also going for my middle school certification. This semester I will be the treasurer of RICMSA, the Rhode Island College Middle School Association. The teacher part of my brain is constantly debating about what age I would like to teach. I am really excited to be spending so much time at CFHS this semester. I am super passionate about trying to figure out how I can bring equitable practices into my classroom. I am also super passionate about feminism and I love reading up on it, discussing it with folks, and thinking about bringing that into my classroom. I LOVE bad reality tv, and my recommendations right now would be Finding Bigfoot on Animal Planet, and Hotel Impossible on the Travel Channel.
Hello! My name is Tiffany Smith and my content area is Biology. I plan to always become certified in Physical Science by taking one more Physics class before I graduate. I am currently in my third year and have a huge goal of graduating in four years! I have wanted to teach since I was a little girl and discovered that I loved Science in high school. I commute to RIC and always have because I don't live too far and I have an awesome relationship with my parents. I have been working as a server at Ruby Tuesday in East Greenwich for almost two years now. When I'm not working or studying I'm usually going out with my friends, hanging out with my parents, or watching Netflix (my guilty pleasure). So far, I really enjoy the class at CF and am looking forward to learning more the rest of the semester.
Hi! My name is Megh and my content area is English and I'm a commuter. I'm excited to be an English teacher someday and hope to perhaps do so abroad. Last year I spent a semester in Ireland and it was one of the best experiences of my life. When I'm not in school, I spend most of time dancing as I am both a competitive dancer and a dance teacher, and because I commute I spend a lot of time in the car listening to music as well!
Are we to dress professionally everyday or are regular class days casual?
ReplyDeleteDress like you want a job there :) Definitely as a professional.
